A manifestation of the Father's heart to the children the Lord puts in our path.
The plight of children in the world is evdient upon any amount of investigation and observance in any country in the world. Upon returning to Eastern Ukraine in 2004 where I visited a feeding program for street kids, the Lord impressed upon me the mission of seeing to the needs of children who are not part of a family unit or an orphanage in that part of the world. Even though there are orphanages throughout the Ukraine, there are still a great number of children who are on the streets or in need of housing for a variety of reasons. It is the desire of this ministry to be a manifestation of the Father's heart to the children the Lord puts in our path.
It is the vision of ECHC to buy a building in the area of Eastern Ukraine, as the Lord directs, for the purpose of housing children in need of a home where their physical, emotional, spiritual, medical, and educational needs can be provided for. When possible, ECHC will also work to use available resources to reunite families. Our prayer is that the Lord will turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the hearts of the children to their parents.
ECHC will see to the educational needs of the children in local institutions of education so that these children will be with their peers in the local area. Then it is the desire of ECHC to assist any children who wish to go on to higher education by connecting young people with those that have the means to do so to help them to acheive their educational goals.
The long-term part of this vision is that after the first center is up and going, we will move to other areas to set up other centers in Ukraine and other countries as the Lord leads.
